Nigerian Senate to probe Vice President Osinbajo over N250m gatehouse in his residence. The Senate made this know on Thursday 2nd February, 2017 during their session.

Vice President Osinbajo, who stood with President Muhammadu Buhari to promise Nigerians their mission to fight coruption has finally messed up as the same coruption has decided to fight back.

On this note the Nigerian Senate has decided to investigate the alleged corruption behind the construction of Osinbajo’s gatehouse in his residence.

According to the PUNCH, the motion was moved by Senator Dino Melaye, the Chairman Senate Committee of the Federal Capital Territory.

In a statement by Senator Dino Melaye:

“The lawmakers could call for a review of the contract awarded for the construction of the official residence of the vice president.

“The gatehouse of the three-bedroom apartment costs N250m and also claimed that the cost of the official residence being constructed for the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives were also inflated.”
