Nigerian Police Arrest Dog In Lagos For Robbery.The dog in Lagos was paraded at police command headquarter in Ikeja, Lagos, for involving in a robbery case at Ladipo in Oshodi.
Ukrido, learnt that the dog was arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Lagos State Police Command for alleged robbery in Ladipo.
Speaking during the parade on Thursday, the state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, revealed that the dog was sent by one Adeniyi Adisa and Odunade Old hide to attack their victims during robbery so that with the fear, their victim could hander over their belongings to them.
According to the CP, he said;
“On September 5, 2017, two local criminals, who specialised in robbing people by sending a dog to attack them, were arrested. The suspects would command the Alsatian dog to attack a victim. The dog, in response to the command, would pounce on the person. Gripped with fear, the person would hand over all his belonging to the gang.”
Mr Edgal, added that after the might have taken all the belongings of the their victims, they will run away with the dog on their bike.
“The men, however, met their Waterloo while attempting to rob a lady of her valuables in Ladipo, as the victim raised the alarm and the suspects were apprehended by the police,” the CP said.
According to Sononline, the suspects denied, claiming they were on their way to buy dog feed when the woman raised a false alarm.
