FCB Vs Olympiakos-Lionel Messi Caught Taking Tablet From Sock to Chew During Match. Barely 9 minutes after kick-off during the UEFA Championship encounter between Barcelona and Olympiakos, Lionel Messi was caught on removing a tablet from his sock to chew.
From the footage, it was as if he took something out of it before dropping the tablet in his mouth.
Reports from Radio Catalunya, has it that the tablet was a glucose pill Messi, usually takes to control the nausea he encounters ones in a while before and after matches.
Immediately after the game, the head coach of Barcelona Ernesto Valverde, was interviewed in connection to what Lionel Messi did and Valverde, said;
“I don’t know if he took a glucose tablet. If it made him score a goal, then he should take a load of them… But I do know the players do take glucose.”
Valverde, added;
“I hope he reaches 200 goals this season!” he said.His numbers validate what we see every day, he’s beating statistics that seemed impossible. He’s been doing it for a long time now, constantly breaking down barriers.”
