Maryam Sanda Who Killed her Husband in Abuja Makes a Shocking Confession in Court. The young lady who killed her husband the son to a former PDP Chairman, last weekend here was in court yesterday.
Mrs. Maryam, was arraigned before an Abuja High Court by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, for allegedly killing her husband, Bilyamin Bello and the court ordered her to be remanded in Suleja Prison custody.
On her arrival to the court, Mrs. Maryam, covered her face with a gear, to avoid the media but could not hold herself as she was seen crying profusely while carrying her seven months old baby.
Before the commencement of the court proceedings, she was asked to read from the Quran.
When Mrs. Maryam, was asked to enter the dock for questioning, she did but the shocking moment was when she pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of homicide.
According to online reports, Counsel to the defence, Hussein Musa pleaded with the court to permit the defendant to remain in police custody citing the fact that she is still a nursing mother and would be improper to be remanded in prison custody. But the presiding judge, Yusuf Halilu ruled that suspects be remanded in Suleja prison and the matter has been adjourned to December 7th for further hearing.
