The contract which was exposed by Football Leaks, in partnership with French outlet Mediapart, reveals what Lionel Messi earns after signing a new contract with Barcelona.
In the leaked document, Lionel Messi, is earning a staggering €100 million (£89m) a year till 2021. That is to say, the 30-year-old star is currently receiving around £44.5m net which is almost more than double the amount of Cristiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid.
Reports also have it that Lionel Messi, smiles home every week with more than €100 million. The Barcelona star, earns a fixed £63m gross of which 15% is generated from image rights follow with a loyalty bonus of £62m if he refused to leave Nou Camp before the end of his contract.
The reports also have it that if Messi plays 60 percent of the games, he’ll pocket a further £1.7m gross. An additional £10.7m will be on its way if Barcelona win the Champions League.
In addition to this, Football Leaks also revealed Neymar’s net annual earnings which are approximately £33m.
