Nigerian National Assembly Workers Protest Over Unpaid Salaries Since 2010. Activities at the Nigerian National Assembly took a different turn out today as staff of the assembly came out in mass to protest unpaid salaries and lack of due promotion.

The staff were seen carrying different placards with inscriptions of their dissatisfaction and chanting ”no pay, no sitting”. The staff revealed that they have not been paid since 2010, accusing the management of National Assembly of diverting funds meant for their trainings.

The staff went ahead to stop the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, and other senators from entering the complex.
