500 Members from a Chinese family snap rear photos during reunion. All the family members were asked to gather at Shishe, a village in China’s eastern province of Zhejiang.
The pictures ware taken during the Lunar New Year period this year,2017. This festival is usually marked by the gathering of large family members in China.

The pictures were taken in front of a basalt formations close to Shishe.The Photographer Zhang Liangzong, used a drone to capture the whole family.
According to the Photographer:
Ren family, which originates from the village, can be traced back 851 years, but their family tree had not been updated for more than eight decades.
Village elders recently began updating the family tree records and managed to track down at least 2,000 living descendants spanning seven generations, Mr Zhang said.
It was discovered that the family tree’s completion was marked by organising a massive reunion. They were able to gather over 500 members of the family.
Ren Tuanjie, a chief from the village who belongs to the 26th generation of Ren said:
“One reason was to understand where our descendants have spread to, where they have ended up and where they live, to account to our ancestors.”
“And another reason was also to let descendants all over the country know their roots, so that wherever they go they will not forget where they come from.”

Family’s photos are common in China especially during the Lunar New Year period when large family members come together to take photographs.
China has been one of the country with the highest population that even the government had to restrict family members especially the women from given birth to more than a certain number of children.
Now from a situation like this where family members are more than 500, don’t you think at a point one of the family member could mistakenly choose to settle down with another unknowingly?
