President Buhari finally writes Nigerians stating his health condition. In the letter, President Muhammadu Buhari appeal to Nigerians to give him more time to rest in London.
President Buhari stated this on Tuesday Feb. 21, 2017 through his aide, Femi Adesina.
Mr. President said the rest is necessary following the recent medical investigations carried on him in the UK
According to The Punch, the president thanked Nigerians for their prayers, good wishes and support adding that there was no cause to be troubled.
“President Muhammadu Buhari thanks millions of Nigerians who have been sending good wishes and praying for his health and well-being in mosques and churches throughout the country.
“The President is immensely grateful for the prayers, show of love and concern.
“President Buhari wishes to reassure Nigerians that there is no cause for worry.
“During his normal annual checkup, tests showed he needed a longer period of rest, necessitating the President staying longer than originally planned,” he said.
Weeks ago, President Buhari also spoke with the President, Nigerians Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki on the state of his health.
A week after the telephone conversation between President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian Senate President Bokola Saraki, ukrido.com learnt that an APC Chieftain, Senator Bola Tinubu paid President Muhammadu Buhari a visit to Abuja House where he spent some time with him and other guests to discuss matters concerning the health of Mr. President.
Just last week the Nigerians Senate President Bukola Saraki and The Speaker House of Representatives decided to visit President Muhammadu Buhari at the Abuja House in London where they spent some time with him.
Since President Buhari departed to London for his vacation, the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been in charge of the country’s affairs. It was expected that President Buhari will be return to the country on Saturday 11th February, 2017 but till now, the President is yet to return.
