Traditional Ruler in Zamfara State Sentence to 1 Year in Prison Over N1.4million Fraud

A team of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, on 28th of July 2017, succeeded in securing the conviction of Mr. Umar Kabiru Danbaba before Justice Nasiru Saint of Kano State High Court on a one count charge of Cheating.

Ukridosblog, learnt that Mr.Umaru had fraudulently collected the sum of One Million, Four Hundred and Seventy Thousand Naira from the complainant so to allocate a mining site for the complainant in Zamfara State but later it was discovered that Mr. Umar had diverted the money to his personal use.

After the sentence, Mr. Umar was escorted out of the court room with prison officials.
