Honda Dumps Asimo for New Robot With Human Compassion And Facial Expression. Automobile Giant, Honda, has moved to dump “Asimo,” its iconic humanoid robot.

According to Nikkei, Honda, is planning to develop a more practical robot that can function in areas of nursing and transportation. This move will put an end to Asimo. It was reported on Thursday that Honda are planning to use the technology in Asimo to produce future applied robots.

The automobile giant had earlier revealed a new generation of robotic devices called 3E Robotics Concept, which they brought to CES this year.

Infomation has it that the new robots are humanized and one of them can show “compassion to humans with a variety of facial expressions.”

Asimo, was first introduced in the year 2000, that was ten and half years after the automobile giant had started working on that robotic tech.

It was learnt that the robot took its first public steps in 2005 and was introduced into the US market in 2007.
