See What Soldiers Did To A Community In Akwa Ibom After Death Of Their Colleague. All wasn’t well in Etim Ekpo, when a group of Military officers stormed the community and razed it down with fire, sending the occupants away.

It was reported that armed militants ambushed some soldiers at a checkpoint within Iwukem in Etim Ekpo, killing one army officer and five civilians, while two persons sustained injuries.

In reaction to the death of their own, a battalion of soldiers from the military base in the state, yesterday, went on rampage, setting shops and houses of innocent occupants ablaze in Iwukem.

The report also revealed that the gunmen attacked the community on Saturday night.

The police force in the state, who responded through it Public Relations Officer, Madcon Ogbechie, said; “Investigation is already ongoing and we will get to the bottom of it.”
