U.K. Prince Harry slams social media just days after joining Instagram, says he wants ‘Fortnite’ banned

The U.K. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, have condemned both social media and the game “Fortnite”. This is coming just days after the two got their Instagram account open for the first time.

For the first time the Prince and his wife got their account open on Instagram, they were able to secure over Three Million followers in just one day.

The Prince who was speaking via The Independent, of “Fortnite” in particular, said;

,”Where is the benefit in having that game in your household? It’s created to addict — an addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It’s so irresponsible.

“Parents have got their hands up — they don’t know what to do about it,” he said. “It’s like waiting for the damage to be done.”

He added “Social media is more addictive than drugs and alcohol, yet it’s more dangerous because it’s normalized and there are no restrictions to it.

“Without that human connection, when you do have a problem you have nowhere to go,” he warned. “The only place you might go is online and you will probably end up getting bullied.”

A post was later put up, showing photos from the prince visit and they wrote;

“There continues to be huge progress in smashing the stigma that surrounds mental health, but let’s keep normalizing the conversation,” Harry wrote. “Let’s keep reminding each other that it’s okay to not be okay, and to listen to each other. After all, how we think determines how we act, how we feel, and how we treat ourselves and those around us.”
