Police release suspect in Abuja Pastor’s Murder Case

Police release suspect in Abuja Pastor’s murder case . Mrs Eunice Elisha, a pastor in Redeemed Christian Church of God,  left her home in the
early hours of that day for preaching where she met her untimely death in Kubwa.

The supects were arrested over the murder case of the pastor, last year but according to PREMIUM TIMES, they all have  been released by the Nigerian police.

According to  spokesperson of The Abuja Police Command, Manzah Anjuguri, said:

“The police couldn’t link the suspects to the murder case.

“What happened is that when the incident occurred, arrests were made. But during the course of the investigation we found that the persons arrested could not be linked to the said murder. And we cannot keep them if we do not have any case against them.

“They were released under the condition that they will be invited for questioning whenever the need arises. The commissioner has instructed the Divisional Police Officer for that region to intensify efforts on the matter; the case has not been closed. The investigation is still ongoing.”

It was futher learnt that the statement given by the spokesperson differs from the one he gave earlier before the investigation.

According to PREMIUM TIMES, the police said earlier:

“We have made some arrests and they are helping in our investigation”, the police spokesperson had said at the time.

“The commissioner of police has ordered the homicide section of the command to take over the investigation of the case,”

In December 2016, when Mr.  Anjuguri was contacted by PREMIUM TIMES, he refused to comment on the status of the case but said the investigation was still ongoing.

Well! from the above story, I believe ukrido’s readers should be able to figure out the true out-come of the matter. We pray God gives the family the grace to move on while he ‘God’ takes it from there because vengeance has always been his.
