Mother and son stunned the world when they decided toget married in Zimbabwe. The two world’s shocking love birds claimed to have been in love with each other for over 3 years before they decided to get married and settle down together.

One shocking side of the story is that the woman Betty Mbereko, was 6 months pregnant for her dear son.Woow! Right? Yes! She was, and Betty gave her personal reason for this ungodly act.

ukrido.com was able to gather that the 40 year old mother has been a widow for over 12 years and instead of seeking for love else where or give another man a chance to move her life forward, she decided to fall in love with her 23 year old son Farai Mbereko.

When asked why the 40 year old mother could choose to get pregnant for her son, Betty made a shocking confession that she couldn’t stand her son getting married to another woman after she had spent a lot of money to see him through school.

According to her, she said:

“Look, I struggled alone to send my son to school and no one helped me. Now you see that my son is working and you accuse me of doing something wrong.

“Let me enjoy the products of my sweat,” she told the village court council. She said.

Betty gave another reason why she decided to marry her son. According to her, she claimed her late husband brothers are seriously after her, asking her to settle down with any of them.

A village court where Betty made her confession got flabbergasted when they heard her story.

ukrido.com futher gathered that the 23 year old son Farai, also confirm the whole story and stated that he was fully ready to marry his mother and that he will also go as far as completing the bride price on her mother’s head, the one his father was unable to balance his grandparents before he died.

Farai, said:

“I know my father died before he finished paying the bride price and I am prepared to pay it off,” he said.

“It is better to publicise what is happening because people should know that I am the one who made my mother pregnant.Otherwise they will accuse her of promiscuity.”

Nathan Muputirwa,the head of the community said:

“We cannot allow this to happen in our village, mashura chaiwo aya, (This is a bad omen indeed).

“In the past they would have to be killed but today we cannot do it because we are afraid of the police.”

“I warned them to immediately break off their marriage or leave his village. They chose the latter and have since left the village for an undisclosed destination.”

Well! I wish it could be a touching story but the truth his “it’s absolutely crazy”.
